Join us for the second annual Community Impact Day! This special event offers families two exciting ways to engage and give back to the Jewish community.

Please allow a moment for registration button to load below.

Camp Fair: Building Jewish Identity Through Summer Fun

Explore the world of Jewish summer camps! Families can meet representatives from a variety of Jewish camps from across the Eastern region, including Camp JCC, 6 Points, Camp Harlam, Airy & Louise, Sababa Beachaway, Camp Ramah, Camp Poyntelle, and Capital Camps (need to wait to confirm then will update). Learn how these camps foster a strong sense of Jewish identity, build community, and create lasting memories that shape children’s lives.

Mitzvah Mall: Making a Difference, One Dollar at a Time

The Mitzvah Mall introduces families to local non-profit organizations making a difference in Tidewater. Toddlers to teens can learn about each organization’s work and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by donating in increments of $1. For every donation, they’ll see the tangible result of their generosity, such as nails for a new Habitat for Humanity house or soap for a family in need at the Jewish Family Service food pantry.

Families will also have a chance to give in honor of someone special for Hanukkah! Fill out a pre-paid postcard with a personal message, and we’ll mail it to your loved one before the holiday, letting them know of your thoughtful gift.

Don’t miss this day of discovering Jewish camps, supporting local causes, and strengthening community ties!

Three gift cards will be raffled off at the end of the event for children to keep as a thank you for starting their philanthropy journey.

This event is a partnership between the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, Tidewater Jewish Foundation, Ohef Sholom Temple, Temple Emanuel, and Congregation Beth El – with collaboration and support from nonprofits throughout Tidewater.
