About the Feldman Family Scholarship

William and Mary Feldman have always felt that strengthening the Jewish people and leaving a lasting impact on the Jewish community comes through investing in individuals' success.

Dr. Feldman served the Hampton Roads community as a pediatrician for 33 years and served on the admissions committee at Eastern Virginia Medical School, as well as on various committees at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. It is important to him and Mary to unite their passion for the Jewish community and the medical professions by incentivizing Jewish students to enter the healthcare fields.

They established this Fund as a legacy to honor their caring and compassionate concern for others, their belief in the importance of a good education, their desire to see Jewish representation in the healthcare fields, their commitment to nurturing the thirst for knowledge, and their dedication to providing a foundation on which others might build a career in healthcare.
