TJF Welcomes Amy Weinstein as Development Strategist

Amidst the challenges of the pandemic and a national hiring crisis, Tidewater Jewish Foundation (TJF) is pleased to announce that Amy Weinstein will join the team as the Development Strategist. Amy, a seasoned professional in the field of philanthropy and development, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role.

Amy previously served as TJF's Director of Development from 2015 – 2017, responsible for developing TJF's relationships with affiliates to cultivate, solicit, and steward planned giving donors and prospective donors, regionally and nationwide. Recently, Amy volunteered as a member of TJF's Strategic Planning Task Force and has been instrumental in shaping the strategic roadmap. In her new role as a Development Strategist, Amy will capitalize on this experience, driving our vision for a sustainable Jewish future.

"Amy's return to TJF marks a significant milestone for us," remarks Naomi Limor Sedek, President and CEO of TJF. "Her profound connection to the Jewish community and her exceptional fundraising, development, and community relations skills are invaluable assets. We are confident that her contributions will greatly impact the growth and sustainability of our Jewish legacy."

As the Development Strategist, Amy will play a key role in shaping the Foundation's multi-generational endowment development plan, including teen philanthropy, LIFE & LEGACY, and Jewish Future Pledge Programs. Drawing upon her rich life experience and ability to convey compelling messages, Amy will steward the organization's planned giving program, communicating its benefits to affiliated agencies, donors, and prospects. She will guide development initiatives and marketing campaigns, strategically deploying donor cultivation and solicitation resources.

"Rejoining TJF in a strategic capacity is a true honor,” said Weinstein. “The opportunity to contribute to the Jewish community in such a meaningful way is incredibly fulfilling. I am eager to bring my experience and passion to this role, and I look forward to working with the team to achieve our ambitious goals."

In addition to previously working for TJF, Amy's prior experience at Beth Sholom Village as Vice President of Marketing & Development, her leadership as past president of Association of Fundraising Professionals-Hampton Roads, her role as Director of Development at Eggleston, and her involvement with the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, demonstrate her extensive expertise in the field. Her qualifications include a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Graduate Certificate of Jewish Communal Service from Gratz College, and in 2015 she received her Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation, further solidifying her capability to lead in this strategic role.
