The Konikoff Center for Learning at the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater invites you to enjoy a "taste" of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning. Meet one of our teachers, Harman Grossman, sample a lesson from the upcoming Melton course Jewish Medical Ethics: A 21st Century Discussion, and experience Melton's text-based, discussion-oriented approach to Jewish learning.

Explore the positive, negative, beneficial, and detrimental aspects of the new technologies in the medical field and the wisdom Judaism offers us in our encounters with them. From human cloning to surrogacy, modern medical advances can improve and prolong life, but also raise dilemmas – and Judaism has a lot to say about it.

Melton courses are ideal for those looking to deepen their understanding of the basics of Judaism and Jewish living, regardless of prior knowledge. Whether this is your first taste of Melton, or you are coming back for more, all are welcome!

This class will be offered ONLINE on September 11 at 6:45 PM.
