I hope this note finds you and your loved ones healthy.
During this uncertain time, we at the Tidewater Jewish Foundation are more committed than ever to our mission – to ensure the Tidewater Jewish community has the resources it needs to thrive today and plan for tomorrow. We will continue to serve as a conduit for this community’s generosity, ensuring that our cherished local organizations remain connected to their donors.
We are honored to play a supporting role for the many families and individuals who are rising to meet the needs of those impacted by the virus. History has shown that in times of crisis, philanthropy remains an important part of life for members of our community. When tested, the values of tikkun olam and tzedekah have always remained steadfast.
Foundation leadership will continue to monitor this community’s philanthropic investments. Consideration for the future will be balanced with the compassion and flexibility needed for our affiliates to navigate this difficult chapter.
Our team is practicing social distancing, reducing office hours, and transitioning to remote work. We are available by email and if you don’t immediately reach us by phone, please leave a message and know that we will receive it, even if we are working remotely, and we will get back to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions, concerns or regular, business related inquiry. Life & Legacy® and other programs, including our Community Impact Grants, will be adjusted on a case by case basis to meet needs and ensure the safety of our community.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us – whether you have a question, concern, or want to make a gift to the Food Pantry – we are here for you.
Thank you and be well.
